Best two-phone camera remote apps in 2026: an honest comparison
All four apps turn two phones into a camera and a remote with a live preview. They differ in what they cost, how the phones connect, and how much control the remote gets. Here is what each App Store listing says, checked on 2026-10-08.

Pick by what you need
- No signal, or a watch shutter: SayCheese. A direct Bluetooth link with up to 300 m range and watch triggers make it the strongest offline option, and its remote has the most camera settings. It sells a Pro tier.
- Cheapest paid tier: Camlens. Its Pro prices are the lowest of the paid options, and it needs no internet once both phones have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on.
- Nothing on a server: Rika. Its listing says photos travel encrypted directly between the two phones and are never stored on a server. It is free with no purchases listed.
- The person in the photo directing the shot: help her take photo. It is built around direction rather than camera settings: pose suggestions, tap-to-send moves and pointing at the live view, with a shared gallery for the two of you. It needs an internet connection, and it does not offer watch triggers or manual exposure controls.
What we left out
Ratings are left out because most of these listings have only a handful of reviews, which says little. Every claim above comes from the listing itself. If a listing changes, this page is out of date until we re-check it.
