The short version, in plain English.

Last updated · April 29, 2026

yen-yen is a budgeting tool. It is not a bank, not a financial advisor, and not a tax-filing service. The numbers it shows you are based on what you (or your household) enter — we don't connect to your bank.

You own your data. You can export, edit, or delete it anytime. We don't sell it, we don't share it, and we don't train models on it.

You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. If you transcribe a number wrong, the ledger will be wrong. The AI parser tries to be careful, but it's a starting point — we never auto-write to your ledger without your tap.

We can suspend abusive or fraudulent accounts (rare, but it happens) and we can discontinue the service with reasonable notice (we don't plan to). Otherwise, the only rule is: be kind to whoever else is in your household.

The plain-English summary above is what we actually mean. If you need the long-form legal language for your records — for an employer's expense-policy review, for example — email kensaurus@gmail.com and we'll send the same document, formatted with section headers, the same week.
